In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse industrial equipment, farm machinery, and heavy vehicles, contributing to the smooth operation of our operations. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle inspections. Fabricate and modify equipment parts using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering techniques to meet operational needs. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs on industrial machinery and automotive components. Use diagnostic software and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic with dealership or industrial background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and suspension components. Skilled in fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly of equipment parts. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery such as Caterpillar equipment or farm machinery. Experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to communicate effectively with clients or team members. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions; commitment to safety protocols is essential.
