King Properties & Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Hand / Heavy Equipment Mechanic Hand to support our mechanic in maintaining and repairing our fleet of dump trucks, construction equipment, trailers, and support vehicles. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who can diagnose problems, perform repairs, and help keep our equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Pay:
Based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, and driveline components Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on trucks and equipment Repair and maintain dump trucks, trailers, excavators, dozers, skid steers, loaders, and other construction equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and performance issues Replace and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and other major components Perform inspections and identify potential equipment issues before breakdowns occur Maintain service records and communicate repair needs to management Keep the shop and work area clean and organized Respond to field service calls when necessary Requirements Experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems Ability to safely operate tools, welders, torches, and diagnostic equipment Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work Valid driver's license Must be able to pass a drug test Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Preferred Qualifications Experience with dump trucks and construction equipment Welding and fabrication experience CDL Class A or B Experience with CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, Case, Freightliner, International, Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt, or similar equipment Experience performing DOT inspections and repairs ASE, diesel, or equipment certifications What We're Looking For We need someone who can assist our mechanic in equipment maintenance, diagnose problems efficiently, and help minimize downtime.
