Job Description

That's where you come in.$$$ Sign On Bonus $$$As a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic at Ecowaste Solutions, you will be performing preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. Your responsibilities will include completing work orders with proper coding such as reason for repair, detailed description of condition, cause, and correction, as well as properly completing the warranty process. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical in this role.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of fleet equipment components.
Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for repairs, taking steps to resolve the issue when possible.
Complete complex work orders with proper description of condition, cause, and correction, including completing warranty return tags as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsValid state-issued CDL preferred.
Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, or a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with a specialty in Diesel. New graduates of a diesel technical program are encouraged to apply.
Experience with advanced diagnostics preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and heavier loads with equipment assistance.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods while performing repairs.
Work is performed primarily in a shop environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, fumes, and moving mechanical parts.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times in accordance with safety standards.
