In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, while delivering top-tier service and technical excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, and air brake systems using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct preventive maintenance to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime across heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, tractors, and industrial equipment. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics on various vehicle types including tractor-trailers and farm machinery. Inspect and repair tire service needs, alignments, wheel assemblies, and suspension components to ensure optimal performance. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures and assist in heavy lifting tasks as required. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM parts and schematics. Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to work with power tools effectively. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Familiarity with electrical systems diagnostics and repairs related to automotive or industrial equipment. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and follow detailed repair procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; comfortable working in various environmental conditions. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients or internal teams during repairs or consultations.
