Job Description
About us Rutherford Diversified Industries, Inc. (RDI) is a General Engineering Contractor specializing in fiber optic telecommunications, substrate preparation, electrical construction, repair, and demolition. RDI is a Federal Contractor and Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans and Section 503 persons with a disability. RDI is headquartered in Arizona and works throughout the United States. We maintain a vehicle and equipment. RDI is search of a dependable and skilled diesel and gas mechanic. Hourly rates listed are starting only and depend on experience and skill.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and industrial equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components
- Fabricate and weld as needed
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Good driving record
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience working with diesel engines and industrial equipment, minimum 2 years
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work performed
- Travel to job sites and yards within the state of
NM Skills:
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas engines
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, and rebuild engine components
- Knowledge of tire service, including mounting, balancing, and repair
- Familiarity with electrical systems and wiring diagrams
- Experience operating heavy machinery or cranes is a plus
