Job Description

Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic - Underground Utility Company We are a growing underground utility company seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of construction equipment used in sewer, water, and storm drain projects.
What You'll Do:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment components Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on equipment (excavators, backhoes, loaders, trucks, etc.) Troubleshoot mechanical issues in both shop and field environments Maintain accurate service and repair records Ensure equipment is safe and job-ready at all times
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience working on heavy equipment and diesel engines Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Valid driver's license (CDL a plus) Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
