Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles in the field. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of machinery including farm equipment, industrial machinery, and commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Conduct diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering tools to complete repairs and fabrication tasks. Repair and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery. Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment components during repair processes. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance performed in accordance with company policies. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic with dealership or industrial background preferred. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and mechanical components. Hands-on experience working with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, assembly procedures, and troubleshooting techniques for complex machinery. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is a plus. Experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service, brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement is advantageous. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent customer service skills is essential for success in this role.
