Robertsons Ready Mix is seeking a skilled and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance both in the shop and in the field, including responding to road calls and supporting maintenance operations at multiple company shop locations. The successful candidate will help maintain our fleet of Peterbilt cement mixers , heavy-duty trucks, and various support equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air brake systems. Service and repair Peterbilt cement mixer trucks and other fleet vehicles. Respond to road calls and emergency breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime. Assist with maintenance and repair needs at multiple company shops and operating locations. Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and brake repairs. Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify equipment issues. Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation. Ensure all repairs meet company safety standards and DOT requirements. Work closely with operations personnel and other maintenance team members to keep equipment in service. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred. Experience working on cement mixers and heavy-duty diesel equipment. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes. Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Valid driver's license and good driving history required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel in service truck between company locations and respond to road calls as needed. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and parts as required.
