Overview Join our dynamic team as a Yacht Repair Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and restoring luxury vessels to optimal condition. In this energetic role, you'll utilize your technical expertise to perform comprehensive repairs, upgrades, and maintenance on a variety of yacht systems. Your hands-on skills will ensure each yacht is seaworthy, safe, and ready for adventure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with high-end marine equipment while honing your craft in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of yachts to identify repair needs across electrical, mechanical, rigging, and structural systems. Perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to upgrade and repair vessels. Perform service and repair of gasoline and diesel engines. Diesel Mechanic experience highly favored. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical circuits, plumbing components, and mechanical assemblies. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as level, square, and tape measure. Execute heavy lifting and rigging tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Splice electrical connections and work with wiring diagrams to maintain or upgrade electrical systems onboard. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with customers to provide exceptional service and updates on repair progress. Experience Proven service technician experience in marine or vehicle maintenance environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in assembly and fabrication using wood, fiberglass, and marine sealants and coatings. Familiarity with schematics, electrical troubleshooting, and the use of measuring instruments. Provable experience fixing engines and building things using raw materials, schematatics, and diagrams. Experience working with power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting. Background in military or similar disciplined environments is advantageous due to the emphasis on safety and precision. Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients while managing repair expectations. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair practices applicable to marine vessels or heavy machinery is preferred. Embark on a career where your technical skills make waves!
