SELECTION PROCEDURE
This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill a vacancy. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list. The current vacancy is full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 12 months per year. The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview, which are tentatively scheduled during the weeks of July 13-24, 2026 . (Click here for more information on the recruitment process) (Download PDF reader) Basic Function Under the direction of Transportation Supervisor, perform skilled automotive repair work on District school buses, trucks and other gas or diesel powered mechanical or automotive equipment. Education & Experience Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by course work in gas and diesel engine repair and one year of increasingly responsible automotive repair experience. Licenses and Other Requirements Valid California Class C driver's license and must be able to obtain a valid California Class B Commercial driver's license with "Passenger" and "Air Brake" endorsements within twelve (12) months of employment. Employees in this classification must maintain insurability at the District's standard rate during the term of employment.
