Schedule:
Monday-Saturday, 7:00 AM•5:00 PM (hours may extend based on asphalt production schedule)

60+ hours/week Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic•Heavy Equipment to join our team. In this role, you will perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment. Work will primarily be conducted in the field using a company-provided service truck, with occasional shop work as needed. This position is ideal for a hands-on mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys working independently at job sites. Key Responsibilities Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Complete field service repairs at job sites (approximately 80% of work) Perform occasional shop-based repairs and maintenance Accurately document all work performed and repairs completed Operate and maintain company service truck and tools Equipment Serviced Includes Loaders (CAT 980 and similar) Pavers Milling machines Rollers and scrapers Excavators Compaction equipment Asphalt paving equipment CAT 6090 and similar heavy machinery Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience working as a mechanic on heavy equipment Valid driver's license required Clean Motor Vehicle Record ( no DUI or reckless driving ) Ability to work independently in field environments Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Compensation & Benefits $3,000 Sign-On Bonus $1,000 at 90 days $1,000 at 6 months $1,000 at 12 months Three medical plan options High-deductible plan 100% employer-paid 401(k) with company match Sick time 6 paid holidays Additional Details Family-owned company operating since 1906 Work begins at the Lipan plant with travel across service territory Company-provided service truck for field work Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Aurora, CO.
