Ideal candidates bring diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and DOT inspection experience. Apply today for steady, hands-on fleet repair work. Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet vehicles and company equipment. Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, driveline, differentials, steering, suspension, fuel, exhaust, intake, HVAC, electrical, and brake systems. Complete annual, DOT, brake, and preventive maintenance inspections on tractors, trailers, light-duty vehicles, and related equipment. Use diagnostic tools, manufacturer software, computers, and testing procedures to identify issues and confirm repairs. Document repairs, work orders, and preventive maintenance forms using fleet management software. Assist drivers with walk-in repair requests, minor repairs, and supply needs as needed.
Requirements Required:
At least 2 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle systems and components. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, preventive maintenance inspections, and fleet repair work. At least 1 year of experience and ability to obtain Annual Inspector and Brake Inspector Certifications. Working knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations related to fleet maintenance and inspections. Ability to use Windows-based computer systems, fleet software, diagnostic tools, and manufacturer testing procedures. At least 1 year of welding and cutting experience, including gas, electric, MIG, TIG, or related metal fabrication. Valid Class C driver's license, ability to provide personal hand tools, and ability to complete pre-employment screening requirements.
Preferred:
Valid Class A or
B CDL. 609 HVAC
Certification. Auto/diesel technical program completion or manufacturer training from Dodge, Cummins, Freightliner, Paccar, GMC, Ford, or similar brands. Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software such as CAT ET, QuickServe, Texa, DAVIE, or similar platforms. #SJ1
Compensation:
$35.00 - $43.00/hour starting pay based on previous experience, certifications, and training Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses or incentives based on role-specific goals and company performance
