Diesel Mechanic/Fabricator

Fleet Mechanic & Fabricator Position Overview We are hiring a Fleet Mechanic & Fabricator to maintain, repair, and build critical equipment supporting field and plant operations. This role blends hands-on mechanical work with welding and fabrication , offering a dynamic environment with both shop and field responsibilities. This position also supports field operations during peak season and may assist as a driver/applicator when needed. Compensation $35 - $45/hour (based on experience) Bonus potential up to 5% What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles Perform preventive maintenance (inspections, oil changes, component replacements) Work on engines, hydraulics, brakes, and transmissions Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues Weld and fabricate custom components (skids, systems, equipment modifications) Install and upgrade equipment on trucks and plant machinery Support emergency repairs and field service calls Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and safety standards Collaborate with operations and leadership on improvements What You'll Need 3-5+ years of fleet mechanic and/or fabrication experience Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record

Endorsements:

Tanker and Doubles required FMCSA certifications (Brake Inspector, Annual Inspector) ASE certifications (preferred) Strong welding and fabrication skills Experience with diagnostic tools and service systems Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call Work Environment Shop and field-based work Exposure to weather, chemicals, and loud environments Physical role (lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, bending, climbing) Travel up to ~30% Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) with company match PTO +
