Job Description

A successful repair and maintenance facility has an immediate opening for an experienced Diesel truck Mechanic - Field Service near Hartford , CT work on customer fleets, consisting of heavy diesel trucks and trailers. The company is looking for an experienced and preferably certified mechanic with at least 4+ years of relevant working experience on diesel, after treatment hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to perform a variety of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience performing repairs on relevant diesel systems Knowledge and experience using diagnostic software's to assist with troubleshooting and repairs Strong verbal and documentation skills Can work well with others
Responsibilities:
Perform fleet repairs Diagnostics (derate and fault code troubleshooting + repairs) ABS and braking system repairs Hydraulic repairs Light engine repairs Pneumatic repairs Mechanics in possession of a CDL will be given preference.
Compensation:
$30 - $40/hour. Starting wage based off of prior relevant work experience Commission Structure for after hours field calls Complete health benefit plan (health, dental, vision with a flexible spending account) provided Additional benefits: paid time off, 401K matching plan Large amount of OT available, mechanics can expect at least 5-10 hours weekly
Shifts:
Monday -
Friday Day Shift:
8:00am - 5:00pm. (negotiable) Scheduling will be discussed further in an interview setting. Certain days require a later start and end time, other days will be earlier starts and earlier finish times. Mechanics will be required to meet employer hiring requirements. #MHP
