Job description Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills and have experience with automotive diagnostics, schematics, and hydraulic systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet operates efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. This should be a person looking to better themselves through provided training with bonuses and guaranteed raises at training milestones. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and associated systems. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems. Complete repairs. Repair hydraulic systems and components effectively. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic, specifically with electronics. Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques and practices. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Experience with tractor-trailer maintenance. Knowledge of hydraulic systems is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
