Job Description
Greyhound Lines is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our intercity bus fleet in the Transportation & Logistics industry. In this Automotive role, you will diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical, brake, and HVAC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure buses meet safety and DOT standards. Working in a collaborative, safety-focused culture, you'll help keep our passengers moving reliably while growing your career in a dynamic, eco-friendly transportation network. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and electrical systems on Greyhound buses Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections Troubleshoot air brake, hydraulic, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime Document all repairs, parts used, and maintenance in accordance with company standards Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and DOT regulations Collaborate with operations to prioritize repairs and support on-time service Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Assist with road calls and emergency repairs as needed Required Skills Diesel engine diagnostics Bus and coach repair Hydraulic systems Pneumatic and air brake systems Electrical systems troubleshooting Preventive maintenance (PM) Use of diagnostic scan tools Reading technical manuals and schematics Welding and basic fabrication Safety and OSHA compliance
