Job Description

Job Summary Near Fleet Services is a highly rated, 5-star automotive and diesel repair facility dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers and maintaining a positive, professional work environment for our team. We are seeking experienced, motivated Diesel Technicians and Mechanics who take pride in their workmanship, value integrity, and want to grow with a company that invests in its employees. As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic at Near Fleet Services, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks, fleet vehicles, and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining a clean and professional workspace. Pay will be dependent on experience with a 90 day probationary period. Duties Perform comprehensive repairs on diesel and non diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, and air brake inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Fabricate and modify equipment components using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering techniques to meet operational needs. Operate vehicles safely Perform assembly and disassembly of vehicle parts and equipment components with precision while adhering to safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or mechanic shop Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and ability to read schematics accurately. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various types of heavy machinery Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail in diagnosing complex mechanical issues. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards. Professional attitude and punctuality is an absolute must.
