Dynamic Equipment Group is seeking a Diesel Shop Mechanic to service and repair heavy construction equipment in our on-site shop. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to keep customer fleets running safely and efficiently. You'll perform preventive maintenance, document all work, and coordinate with service and parts teams to minimize downtime. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and heavy construction equipment in the shop Perform preventive maintenance, fluid changes, and component replacements to reduce downtime Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems using diagnostic tools Document work performed, parts used, and repair recommendations in service tickets Collaborate with service advisors and parts staff to ensure timely, accurate repairs Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company maintenance standards Assist with equipment setup, testing, and quality checks before returning to customers Maintain a clean, organized shop, tools, and work areas Required Skills Diesel engine diagnostics and repair Hydraulic systems troubleshooting Heavy equipment maintenance Electrical systems diagnostics Use of diagnostic scan tools and software Reading technical manuals and schematics Welding and basic fabrication Preventive maintenance scheduling Safety and OSHA compliance Parts identification and ordering
