Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and commercial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and equipment inspections to prevent future issues. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements. Repair and service heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailer-trucks, and other industrial machinery ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize electrical experience to troubleshoot wiring issues and perform electrical repairs on various types of machinery. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures when required for testing or alignment purposes. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed to ensure transparency and accountability. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM parts and schematics. Hands-on experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, heavy construction machinery such as excavators and cranes. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and software. Knowledge of welding, fabrication techniques, HVAC systems related to heavy equipment, and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling tires or large components. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
