In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of construction machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, utilize advanced diagnostics, and contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet and equipment assets. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as cranes. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving fabrication, welding, soldering, and power tools to restore equipment functionality efficiently. Service and repair heavy equipment by replacing worn components, adjusting alignments, and ensuring proper operation of HVAC systems. Execute brake repairs, suspension work, and hydraulic system repairs with precision and safety in mind. Maintain accurate service records including inspection reports, repair logs, schematics updates, and maintenance schedules. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform heavy equipment operation as needed to support maintenance activities. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad range of heavy equipment including construction machinery maintenance. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and automotive diagnostics for troubleshooting electrical systems in various vehicles. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to perform repairs effectively. Knowledge of schematics for electrical systems and mechanical components is essential. Ability to perform diesel engine diagnostics and repair including air brake systems and transmissions. Experience working with OEM parts and understanding manufacturer specifications for equipment repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients.
