The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of commercial trucks and trailers to ensure safe and efficient operations. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to minimizing downtime while maintaining high safety and performance standards.
Schedule and Shift:
This is a full time permanent position, shifts Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm, occasionally Saturday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance. Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary. Maintain cleanliness in areas of work and tools. Perform assigned duties in a safe and productive manner. Respond to roadside breakdowns when necessary Follow the direction of Fleet Director. The training and experience that comes from the following certifications may be utilized as part of the position responsibilities.
BILINGUAL A MUST
(SPANISH & ENGLISH) Requirements High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) Minimum 2 years of fleet or diesel mechanic experience Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and trailer repairs Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently Experience with preventative maintenance programs Able to supply your own set of tools to perform the job. Professional demeanor at all times with customers and drivers-Impeccable punctuality. Weekly pay and great benefits.
