Job Description Job Description About Us Florida Infrastructure is a growing company focused on building and maintaining critical infrastructure across the region. Our team relies on a fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment to keep projects moving efficiently. We're looking for a dependable Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and reliably. Position Overview The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and heavy equipment used in daily operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring our fleet stays operational, safe, and ready to support ongoing infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel trucks and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and system checks
  • Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
  • Communicate with management regarding repair timelines and equipment needs
  • Follow all safety procedures and shop best practices Qualifications
  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and truck systems
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and mechanical repair equipment
  • Ability to read repair manuals and technical documentation
  • Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on commercial trucks or heavy equipment
  • DOT inspection experience
  • ASE or other mechanical certifications Benefits
