Hydraulics Full Job Description Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

Day to day you will be working with fleet vehicles, gas, hydraulic, & electric powered tools, along with small engines & heavy equipment.

Equipment types include:

• Small engines: Generators 6.5 to 65 KW, Gas & Diesel
• Industrial motors: Kohler, Honda, Yamaha, Hyundai, Deutz, Perkins, John Deere, Kubota

Hydraulics:

RexRoth, Eaton, etc.

• Electric tools: Small 110V to 480V 3-Phase

Heavy Equipment:

Bobcats of various sizes, Combo loaders/excavators, trackhoe

Fleet Vehicles:

Gas and Diesel, primarily

Ford Powerstroke Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Essential Duties:

Diagnose the specific source of mechanical problems and troubleshoot. Maintenance and repair of automotive equipment.

• Regularly scheduled maintenance based on use and mileage. Check and change oil Check fluids and change or add, as needed Order tires and other parts needed for proper functioning from Company approved suppliers.
• Inspect overall functioning of vehicles for existing or potential problems.

o Faulty components o Worn parts o Leaks Maintenance and repair of other equipment. Mend and recondition equipment distressed by expected daily wear and tear. Repair any decommissioned equipment when possible that may require: § Sending out for repair § Ordering new parts o Replace equipment which is determined beyond repair.

Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • This position requires 3-6 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This position will involve light fabrication (i.e., welding), in order to make repairs to trucks and/or equipment.
• Ideal candidates typically come from adjacent roles such as: Equipment Rental Mechanic, Airport and/or GSE Mechanic, & Fleet Mechanic.
• Work week is typically 50-60+ hours per week.

All hours over 40 are paid overtime (1.5x)
