T OW TRUCK MAINTENCE ON OUR TOW TRUCK FLEET AFTER HOURS OR WEEKENDS
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Care Truck Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and cutting-edge diagnostic tools in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle care and customer service. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, and HVAC components using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers. Fabricate parts and components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure optimal equipment performance. Replace or repair shocks & struts, brake systems, wheel alignments, tires, and other critical vehicle components to maintain safety standards. Utilize heavy lifting techniques and equipment repair skills to service industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and other complex systems accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to clients or fleet managers. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment operation. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with schematics for precise diagnostics. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, tire service tools, and other maintenance hardware. Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to support client needs effectively.
