Job Location:
Atlanta , Georgia (Onsite) As part of the team, the Diesel Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company-owned vehicles, which include box trucks, Semi Trucks, passenger vans, and trailers.
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position that requires flexible hours with occasional weekend, evening, and holiday work. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this critical position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform scheduled preventative maintenance Diagnose vehicle failures, disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary Complete all necessary documents and input all required information into the fleet maintenance software (Samsara for vehicle record keeping) Must respond to service repairs in the field Coordinate any tows required back to the client's shop Arrange any mobile tire replacements as required Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor to complex repairs for all types of equipment Must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and the client's safety and maintenance policies Communicate with the Operations Department regarding vehicle issues, repair status, and vehicles required for service. Make and receive calls from drivers regarding vehicle issues and disabled vehicles Maintain a clean and safe work environment
PREFERRED SPECIALTIES
Experience with repair/replacement of lift gates Using diagnostic computer software Proficient with wiring diagrams
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical Degree Preferred) 4+ years of fleet maintenance experience Valid Driver's License with no major moving violations in the past 3 years CDL not required but preferred Must be able to pass DOT Physical and drug test Own or possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required Must be certified or certifiable to perform Annual DOT Inspections on Commercial Vehicles.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
