PDT Inc. is hiring a Diesel Fleet Mechanic based out of Savannah, GA. This role will oversee maintenance for our FedEx linehaul fleet of up to 35 trucks operating out of Savannah.

Compensation & Benefits:

$65,000-$75,000 annually , including yearly bonus Optional after-hours service calls paid at $175 per call-out Medical, dental and vision insurance with 50% employer coverage

Paid Time Off Position Details:

Maintain roughly 35 trucks in our Savannah, GA lot Sun-Thurs schedule, 8am - 5pm Work is performed between a shop and yard environment; must be comfortable outdoors and in varying weather conditions

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for a 35-truck fleet Perform hands-on diagnostics and repairs Work with lead mechanic to schedule tractor downtime with the fleet coordinator to minimize service disruption Assist in the procurement of parts and manage parts inventory Transport trucks to and from dealers and service providers when needed

Requirements:

2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably working with a fleet of 20+ trucks Strong experience with Volvo, Freightliner, and/or International tractors CDL Class A license (to move trucks) A solid set of personal tools (specialty equipment will be provided) Ability to go between diagnostic problem-solving and wrenching

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
