Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment, including engines, generators, pumps, and other machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues, perform troubleshooting, and recommend effective solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance. Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble diesel engines and components to ensure they meet required specifications. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems promptly. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on each piece of equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize equipment maintenance and ensure minimal downtime. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in diesel engine technology and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Military veteran with previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics are advantageous. Proven expertise in diesel engine diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Familiarity with various diesel-powered equipment, such as generators, pumps, and industrial machinery. Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges. Proficient in using measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy equipment parts and perform manual tasks. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
