Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that heavy machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles operate safely and efficiently, supporting our operations across various sectors. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical components using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on commercial trucks and trailers. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Repair and service industrial equipment including HVAC systems, power tools, and other machinery critical to daily operations. Inspect vehicles and equipment for wear or damage; execute brake repairs, wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension adjustments. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for lifting or moving large components safely during repairs or assembly tasks. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards at all times. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Skilled in fabrication processes including welding and soldering; familiarity with assembly procedures is a plus. Knowledge of OEM parts specifications and ability to read schematics accurately. Experience operating heavy equipment safely in industrial or construction environments is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
