This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in diesel mechanics and gain hands-on experience working with commercial vehicles. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn, grow their skills, and develop into a Diesel Technician or Senior Diesel Technician through hands-on training and mentorship from our experienced maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication services, inspections, and basic repairs. Assist Diesel Technicians with vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Learn and develop skills related to diesel engines, fleet vehicles, and transportation equipment. Perform safety inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards. Take initiative to learn new skills and grow within the maintenance department.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in pursuing a career in diesel mechanics. Basic mechanical knowledge or previous hands-on experience preferred. Willingness to learn and receive training. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license required.
