Diesel Mechanic Full-Time | Competitive Pay Based on Experience Iowa Repair & Machine is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are a growing diesel repair shop specializing in heavy trucks, tractors, trailers, and equipment. We take pride in doing the job right the first time and providing dependable service to our customers. This position is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience who can work independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and contribute positively.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks, tractors, trailers, and equipment Perform preventative maintenance and detailed inspections Repair or replace major components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems Use computer-based diagnostic software and technical manuals Perform welding and fabrication as needed Safely operate forklifts and shop equipment Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and Parts Department Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications:

3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (heavy truck preferred) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Electrical diagnostic experience is a plus Ability to lift heavy components Valid driver's license Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Strong work ethic and attention to detail
