As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment at customer locations using a fully equipped company service truck. This position requires a self-motivated technician who can work independently, accurately diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, and provide high-quality repairs with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Travel to customer locations in a company-provided service truck Diagnose and repair commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment Perform preventative maintenance services (PMs) Complete DOT inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, steering, suspension, and air brake systems Perform brake repairs, suspension repairs, engine repairs, and general mechanical work Perform minor welding and fabrication as needed Accurately document inspections, repairs, and recommendations Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service truck Preferred Experience Experience servicing one or more of the following: Class 7 & 8 trucks Semi-trailers Heavy equipment Freightliner International Peterbilt Kenworth Volvo Mack Caterpillar Cummins Detroit Diesel Allison transmissions Bendix air brake systems Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Minimum of 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (mobile service experience preferred) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience using diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting equipment Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented What We Offer At STS, we believe great technicians deserve great support.
