Job Overview:
We are a General Contractor Excavation company seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment used in all forms of underground construction.Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems
- Assemble and disassemble machinery components
- Fabricate parts when necessary
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a mechanic working with heavy equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
