We're hiring a second full-time Farm Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of feed trucks, tractors, loaders, skid steers, semi trucks, trailers, manure equipment, and other heavy diesel-powered machinery. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and heavy farm equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, loaders, skid steers, feed trucks, semi trucks, trailers, and other dairy equipment. Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues before they become major repairs. Utilize schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and electrical/automotive diagnostics tools to accurately identify issues. Perform welding and light fabrication as needed. Use diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools when applicable. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Keep the shop clean, organized, and maintain a safe work environment. Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Communicate with the operations team to prioritize repairs and schedule maintenance. Assist with other equipment repairs and maintenance projects as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience repairing agricultural and heavy equipment. Strong mechanical and hydraulic diagnostic skills. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required). Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Positive attitude, dependable, and committed to quality workmanship.
