Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art tools and technology, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Your expertise will keep our fleet and machinery in top condition, supporting various industries such as agriculture, construction, and transportation. Responsibilities Maintain Equipment to DOT Safety standards Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment components. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to ensure optimal performance. Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. Fabricate parts or modifications using power tools and welding equipment to meet specific repair needs or enhance equipment functionality. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all repairs comply with industry standards and safety regulations. Assist in assembly or disassembly of heavy machinery during repairs or upgrades. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients or team members. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM parts and diagnostic procedures. Reading, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and power tools operation. Skilled in welding, soldering, tire service, alignment procedures, and suspension repairs. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in repair. Must provide Own hand tools.
