Responsibilities include assisting mechanics with the following: Keep our truck and trailer fleet safe, operational, and up to DOT regulations; Perform routine and preventative maintenance services such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery; Inspect and maintain brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition; Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials; Maintain accurate records of inventory and repairs; Provide your own set of hand tools that are sufficient for the required tasks; and Clean up the shop area at the end of your shift. Hours are 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
