We are an established truck & trailer repair company in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago looking to hire additional diesel technicians that have the skills and experience to maintain, diagnose, and repair trucks and tractors. Looking to hire an experienced individual with 3+ years of verifiable heavy duty truck experience.
Essential Functions and Expectations:
Ability to diagnose failures and perform repairs on tractors Perform high quality and efficient repair services for various vehicle components, including but not limited to: Transmissions and drive trains Steering Suspension and frame Cab heating and air conditioning Engine fuel and exhaust systems Brakes and braking systems Engines Chassis components Truck accessories Diagnostics Wiring Receive and carry out service orders Perform diagnostic services and troubleshooting to determine repair needs Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicle to ensure repairs are complete Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, including completion of DOT forms and all other customer provided forms in a timely fashion. Road tests vehicles to ensure quality of repairs and proper vehicle operation. •Dependent upon having a CDL• Works with the Parts Department to ensure that all necessary materials, parts, and shop supplies are properly on service orders. Performs other maintenance duties or assignments when necessary Maintain organized and clean workspace Keep account of company and personal tools Qualifications 3 years experience as a diesel mechanic Posses a valid driver's license Must be able to obtain CDL Must own tools Able to lift up to 100 LB Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills Great mechanical, electrical skills, and computing skills
Schedule:
Day shift•hours ranging from 6:00 AM•4:30 PM Overtime and commission available upon request
