In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty construction, industrial, and agricultural equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our ongoing projects and operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and a commitment to excellence in vehicle and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems across various types of heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Fabricate parts or modify existing components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, heavy construction machinery, and vehicle fleets including tractor-trailers. Perform alignment procedures, tire services, brake repairs, HVAC system maintenance, and suspension work to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and ensure compliance with safety protocols during all repair activities. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in heavy equipment mechanics required. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar OEM brands is advantageous. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, welding (including soldering), hydraulic systems troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is a plus; experience with construction machinery maintenance highly desirable. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service software to perform repairs efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of troubleshooting complex equipment issues swiftly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely; willingness to work in various environmental conditions. Valid certifications in automotive repair or diesel engine repair; certifications related to air brake systems or HVAC systems are beneficial.
