Job Description

A fleet-focused heavy-duty truck repair facility in Justice, IL is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Ideal candidates have diesel diagnostics and electrical repair experience. to earn competitive pay and join a reputable service team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, including Freightliner, Volvo, and related heavy-duty truck systems. Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, brake systems, electrical systems, diesel systems, and DPF components. Complete oil changes, filter replacements, preventative maintenance, and routine service work. Prepare vehicles for required inspections and ensure repairs meet safety and road-readiness standards. Keep accurate records of completed repairs, maintenance, and service work.
Requirements:
Required:
2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on heavy-duty trucks and/or trailers. Experience with diesel diagnostics, electrical repairs, brake systems, DPF service, and preventative maintenance. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with team members. Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and safety-focused work habits. Proficiency using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, repair manuals, and maintenance records.
Preferred:
Diesel technology certificate, vocational training, or other relevant diesel repair certifications. Experience with hydraulics, HVAC, and air brake systems. #PJ1
Compensation:
$25.00 - $55.00/hour to start, based on previous experience, certifications, and training. Annual performance-based bonus available.
Benefits:
Ongoing training opportunities. Company-provided uniforms.
Shifts:
Day shift, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Overtime available! Must be willing to work half days on Saturdays every second or third week.
