Job Description

Job Summary :
TKM Materials is seeking a Diesel Technician or Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. This role involves assisting in general repair and maintenance of diesel engines and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services on trucks and heavy equipment. Perform routine greasing of all necessary components of equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment under supervision. Mount and balance tires. Ensure all repairs and maintenance performed meet safety and regulatory standards. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used. Collaborate with team members to solve complex mechanical issues. Follow company and industry-standard safety protocols.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a related role. Ability to follow directions an prioritize tasks assigned. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 lbs.) Capable of standing, bending, and working in various physical positions for extended periods. Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends, if necessary. Pay based on experience starting at $20 per/hr. Apply in person at 1806 N. Court St in Marion or through this posting.
