Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, contributing to the success of our operations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems on various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and equipment inspections to prevent future issues. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely during maintenance or repair procedures. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery parts during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment, farm machinery, heavy trucks, and automotive systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical system repair using schematics and diagnostic tools. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, and HVAC systems. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately while troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
