Diesel Mechanic/Trailer Mechanic

AAA Truck Center is a full-service heavy-duty repair shop located in Merrionette Park, Illinois. We are looking for an experienced diesel mechanic & trailer mechanic to join our team. With hourly rates from $20-50/hr for experienced mechanics and excellent hours, M-F 8 AM-5 PM, OVERTIME

We are looking for a motivated worker with their own tools who is physically able to stand/walk around for the work day, who likes to keep busy, is drama-free, and is willing to learn. Duties:

Perform thorough diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle components. Conduct preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and company standards, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and longevity. Complete accurate and detailed documentation of work performed, including service records, parts used, and labor hours. Adhere to safety protocols in the work environment, maintaining a clean workspace and properly utilizing tools and equipment. Collaborate with the service team to provide exceptional customer service and prioritize the timely completion of repairs.

Requirements:

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Must be able to handle major repairs
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools

Preferred:

• Experience using Full Bay for work orders
• Class A CDL holder
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
