Job Description

- medium
- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates.
- Must be able to work during core business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components following a PACCAR check list.
- Perform repairs to truck-tractor components including, but not limited to, oil change, light bulb replacement, and wheels and tires.
- Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Make road calls when component failure is in remote location.
- Ability to work in a team based environment, multi-task and accept shifting priorities.
- Provide superior customer service to all of PACCAR's clients. Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on diesel mechanics experience
- Proven track record of quality workmanship with minimal rework
- Strong commitment to workplace safety with demonstrated knowledge of shop safety protocols
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of standing and working for extended periods
- Comfortable performing work under vehicles and engine bays
- Ability to handle the physical demands of diesel mechanic work
- Available for full-time work and able to work additional hours occasionally as needed Preferred Qualifications and skills
