About Road Wrench Road Wrench is seeking an experienced Mobile Fleet Diesel Technician in West Chicago, IL, offering up to $40/hour with weekly pay. Technicians work a four-day schedule, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, with no weekends and approximately 40-43 hours per week. You'll use a company-provided service truck during work hours to diagnose and repair commercial fleet vehicles and diesel equipment at customer locations. Key Responsibilities Perform mobile diesel diagnostics and repairs at commercial fleet customer locations Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on commercial diesel and fleet vehicles Troubleshoot vehicle concerns using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools Service Freightliner, International, Hino, Isuzu, Kenworth, and other commercial fleet vehicles Complete assigned mechanical repairs and return vehicles to service Work independently in the field while managing scheduled service jobs Qualifications 6+ years of diesel repair experience Strong diesel diagnostic and repair skills Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Experience with OEM diagnostic software and scan tools Own a professional tool set appropriate for your experience Ability to work independently in the field Commercial fleet, Cummins diagnostic software, Autel, or Master/A-Level diesel experience preferred Compensation & Benefits Up to $40/hour Hourly compensation Weekly pay Medical insurance contribution Optional dental and vision insurance Paid holidays and PTO Paid training and certification reimbursement Uniforms provided Costco membership Why Work Here Four-day workweek with three consecutive days off Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday schedule with no weekends Approximately 40-43 working hours per week Company-provided service truck during work hours Mobile work at commercial fleet customer locations Variety of commercial diesel and fleet vehicles Access to OEM diagnostic software and scan tools Paid training and certification reimbursement If you have 6+ years of diesel repair experience and want a four-day workweek with more independence in the field, apply today to connect with Promotive about this opportunity.
