Diesel Truck Mechanic

Class A Diesel Truck Mechanic $83,000+ Yearly | Indianapolis, IN Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and after‑treatment issues on diesel-powered equipment. Service and repair heavy-duty trucks, including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. (Class A semis) Maintain and repair material handlers, loaders, forklifts, and specialty recycling and industrial equipment. Perform advanced engine, transmission, suspension, braking, and emissions-system repairs. Troubleshoot and repair DPF, DEF, and SCR systems with a high level of diagnostic accuracy. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes of equipment failures and prevent repeat issues. Oversee and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment to reduce unplanned downtime. Essential Skills At least 3+ years of experience as a diesel technician, preferably in fleet, heavy equipment, or industrial environments. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Advanced electrical diagnostic skills, including troubleshooting complex electrical systems and components. Expertise in air brake systems, braking components, and related safety systems. Hands-on experience with transmissions, suspensions, and mechanical systems on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and repair skills across diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment. Why Work Here?
