Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced industrial refractory and related products facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in troubleshooting and repairing various types of industrial machinery. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes, utilizing precision measuring instruments and understanding schematics to maintain equipment efficiency. Salary is based on experience. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, including hydraulic systems and low voltage electrical components. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi trucks, trailers, etc. Utilize logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively. Analyze equipment performance and implement necessary adjustments or repairs to enhance operational efficiency. Operate scissor lifts safely to access equipment for maintenance tasks. Use precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery is operating within specified tolerances. Read and interpret schematics to understand the layout and functioning of various systems within the facility. Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for improvement in equipment performance and reliability. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Direct involvement in all facets of Heavy Equipment maintenance and Repair. Direct involvement in all facets of Diesel Engine, Hydraulic Systems, Electric Motors, Material Conveyors, and Industrial Process Equipment Maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience as an Industrial Mechanic or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience working on semi trucks, trailers, etc. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting hydraulic systems and electrical components. Hands-on experience with excavators, front-end loaders, semis, etc. Hands-on experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, industrial process equipment, mechanical, electrical, and other engines. Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in industrial settings. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for quality assurance purposes. Proven independent worker with leadership skills. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems quickly and implement solutions efficiently. Knowledge and ability to structure preventative maintenance systems from inception through implementation. Safety-conscious mindset with experience operating scissor lifts or similar equipment preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
