Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a variety of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, and heavy equipment maintenance. This role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to work on complex machinery including farm equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle fleets. The Diesel Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our equipment and vehicles. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role with dealership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC systems related to diesel engines. Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, alignment procedures, suspension systems, shocks & struts repair. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with customer service experience is a plus. Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred; relevant certifications or licenses are advantageous. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and general vehicle servicing. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques. Repair and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and farm machinery. Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery for testing purposes when necessary. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex machinery during repairs or upgrades.
