Our mechanics maintain and repair heavy earthmoving machinery like excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders and dump trucks, as well a work truck fleet. The role involves diagnosing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical faults, performing preventative maintenance, and executing field repairs to minimize costly job-site downtime. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, and electrical systems using schematics and specialized tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery, excavators, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently to minimize downtime through mechanical knowledge and equipment troubleshooting techniques. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tools to repair or fabricate parts as needed. Conduct suspension repairs, tire service, brake repairs, and HVAC system maintenance. Maintain detailed service records and reports for all work performed; ensure safety protocols are consistently followed during all tasks. Track work orders and complete work orders through B2W (a software for fleet maintenance.)
