If you're tired of being stuck inside a shop and enjoy working independently, solving problems, and helping customers get back on the road, we want to hear from you. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Sign-on bonus paid at employment milestones following successful completion of training and probationary requirements. Position Overview As a Roadside Diesel Technician, you will operate a service truck and respond to emergency roadside breakdowns involving commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. You'll diagnose issues, perform repairs in the field, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Quality Fleet Services. Responsibilities Respond to roadside service calls and emergency breakdowns Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, fuel systems, cooling systems, and related components Perform roadside repairs including battery replacement, tire service, fuel delivery, air system repairs, and mechanical troubleshooting Utilize diagnostic software and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding repair status and findings Complete accurate service documentation and repair reports Maintain service truck cleanliness, inventory, and equipment Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all times Qualifications Minimum 2 years of diesel repair experience required Roadside service experience preferred but not required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record CDL is a plus but not required Must own basic hand tools Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service calls What We Offer $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Competitive hourly pay Overtime opportunities On-call compensation Company fuel card Company-provided service truck after successful completion of the 30-day probationary period Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Career advancement opportunities Stable year-round work with a growing company What We're Looking For We're looking for technicians who are dependable, take pride in their work, communicate professionally, and are committed to showing up, completing training, and building a long-term career with our team.
