In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and construction vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems using diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial machinery. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Replace or repair components including belts, filters, hoses, electrical systems, and powertrain parts to ensure optimal operation. Interpret schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Assist in the assembly of new equipment or machinery components following technical specifications. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and maintenance needs clearly to clients. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, and the use of power tools for repairs. Familiarity with diagnostics software and electrical systems troubleshooting. Experience working with machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, excavators, forklifts, HVAC systems related to heavy vehicles or machinery. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for complex repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.
