This position plays a critical role in keeping trucks and heavy equipment running reliably, minimizing downtime, and supporting daily operations with high-quality repairs and preventative maintenance. Diesel Engine Mechanic:
Maintain and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a range of construction equipment Complete preventative maintenance including fluids, filters, and wear components Perform repairs on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrain systems Inspect equipment regularly and identify issues before breakdowns occur Respond to field breakdowns and perform on-site repairs as needed Track maintenance schedules and document completed work Collaborate with operators and field teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment Must-Haves as the
Diesel Engine Mechanic:
Hands-on experience with diesel engines, trucks, and heavy equipment Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Ability to work both in a shop and in field conditions Solid understanding of preventative maintenance practices Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency and accountability Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors Nice-to-Haves as the
Diesel Engine Mechanic:
Experience with paving or road construction equipment Welding and fabrication skills Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools CDL or ability to obtain one
